Scotchlok(R) connectors

Scotchlok(R) connecters are widely used in this installation to join one wire to another. Securing Scotchlok(R) connectors is a two handed operation, even in restricted areas.

Figure 1:

1. Place the existing vehicle wire inside the open channel (Figure 1).

2. Close the side cover until latched (Figure 2).

3. Insert the wire to be joined into the other channel of the Scotchlok(R) connector.

Note: Make certain that the wire is fully inserted into the connector by looking into the cutout section of the connector.

4. Using pliers, pinch the metal portion into the connector (Figure 3). Visually inspect that the wires are still in place.

5. Fold the hinged top cover until latched.
