Windshield Washer Switch: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove horn pad, then steering wheel attaching nut.
3. On 1991 DOHC models, remove dynamic damper.
4. On all models, remove steering wheel using a suitable puller. Refer to procedure outlined under STEERING WHEEL.
5. On 1989 Galant models, remove instrument panel undercover.
4. On 1990-92 Galant models, remove knee protector.
5. On all models, remove upper and lower column covers.
6. Disconnect column switch electrical connectors.
7. Remove column switch attaching screws, then the column switch from steering shaft.
8. Reverse procedure to install.
