Engine Control Module: Service and Repair

Removing ECU Trim Panel:





1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Using a trim removal tool, gently remove the R.H. lower "B" pillar trim.

Electronic Control Unit (ECU) Location:





3. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the ECU.
4. Remove the screws and remove the ECU.
5. Reinstall in reverse order.

CAUTION: Do not connect or disconnect the ECU connectors with the negative battery cable connected. A minor spark or voltage surge can damage the ECU.
