MODIFICATION OF EPS CONTROL UNIT


PURPOSE

To reduce steering effort, the Electronic Power Steering (EPS) control unit has been modified. This modification applies to all 1992 Galants, beginning with those manufactured in early September, 1991.

AFFECTED VEHICLES

1992 and earlier Galants equipped with EPS.

DESCRIPTION

The modified EPS control unit can be installed as a replacement unit on 1989-92 Galants produced before the modification date as long as the reduction in steering wheel effort is clearly explained to the customer.
