Shift Lock Cable

Fig. 4 Shift Lock Cable Adjustment:

1. With selector lever in ``P'' position, install end of shift lock cable to shift lock lever.
2. Pull shift lock cable in direction indicated in Fig. 4 until resistance is felt, then adjust so spring hook projection of shift lock lever is positioned within range ``A'' in Fig. 4 relative to spring pin.
3. Move shift lock cable toward lower end of cable attaching bracket and tighten nut.
4. Ensure stop light comes on when brake pedal is depressed.
