Fig. 6 Alternator Rotor Resistance Limits:
1.
Check
rotor for continuity. Ensure that there is continuity between slip rings.
2.
If resistance is not as shown in
Fig. 6, there is a short in the
rotor. If no continuity exists or if there is a short, replace rotor assembly.
3.
Ensure that there is no continuity between slip ring and core. If continuity exists, replace
rotor assembly.
