Accelerator Switch

Accelerator Switch:

LOCATION
Attached to the accelerator pedal.

CONSTRUCTION
The Accelerator Switch is an ON-OFF contact switch.

PURPOSE
Tells the TCU when the accelerator pedal is in the released position. The TCU disengages the torque converter clutch during deceleration.
