CONSTRUCTIONThe Coolant Temperature Sensor is a thermistor type sensor.
OPERATIONAs engine temperature increases, sensor resistance decreases. The TCU monitors engine temperature by the sensor output voltage and limits torque converter operation when the engine is cold.
