Ignition Switch: Service and Repair

Refer to Technician Safety Information for Air Bag Arming and Disarming.

1. Remove column shrouds and disconnect switch electrical connectors.
2. Remove switch attaching screws, then separate lock cylinder from switch as follows:
a. Insert key in lock cylinder and turn to ACC position.

b. Using a small screwdriver, push in lock cylinder lockpin, Fig. 5, then remove lock cylinder.
3. Reverse procedure to install.
