Transmission Position Sensor/Switch: Testing and Inspection

Park/Neutral Position Switch Circuit:

1. Measure the supply voltage at terminal 5 of the switch harness connector.
- Voltage should be near B+.
2. Verify continuity exists between ECM connector terminal 51 and switch connector terminal 8.
3. Verify continuity exists between ECM connector terminal 71 and switch connector terminal 5.
4. Check for harness shorted to ground between the ECM and the switch.
