Evaporator Core: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Discharge refrigerant from system into appropriate container.
3. Disconnect suction and liquid lines and plug openings to prevent contamination.
4. Remove grommet cover.
5. Remove console assembly, then the glove compartment assembly.
6. Remove main lower crash pad, lower crash pad center fascia panel and lower crash pad center skin.

7. Remove evaporator case attaching bolts, Fig. 19, then case.

8. Remove evaporator from evaporator case, Fig. 20.
9. Reverse procedure to install.
