Fig. 24 Reducing Pressure Adjustment Screw:





1. Drain transaxle fluid, remove oil pan and filter.
2. Turn adjustment screw of lower valve body and adjust so that reducing pressure is 59-61 psi with a preferred of 60 psi, Fig. 24. When adjustment screw is turned clockwise, the reducing pressure becomes lower; when adjustment screw is turned counterclockwise the reducing pressure becomes higher.
3. Each 360° turn of adjustment screw adjusts pressure approximately 4.3 psi.
4. Install oil filter, new oil pan gasket, oil pan and ATF.
5. Ensure oil pressure is correct. Readjust as necessary.
6. Install oil filter, new oil pan gasket, oil pan and ATF.
7. Ensure transaxle oil pressure is correct. Readjust as necessary.
