Visual Inspection

Before proceding to the appropriate symptom inspect the following:

- Vacuum hoses for splits, kinks and proper routing.
- Ignition wires for cracking, hardness and proper connections at both the distributor and spark plugs.
- All wiring for proper connections, pinches, routing, and cuts.

NOTE: Ensure that the engine is at operating temperature before inspecting emission control system operation (except when attempting to diagnosis a cold driveablity problem). The catalytic converter and feedback systems will not function as designed if this is not achieved, and will result in inaccurate test results.
