Fuel System Pressure Relief
1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Disconnect fuel pump electrical connector. Failure to relieve fuel system pressure prior to disconnecting fuel system components may cause fire or personal injury.
3. Lower vehicle.
4. Start and run engine until it stops. Allow engine to deplete fuel supply, then turn ignition off.
5. Disconnect battery ground cable.
6. Crank engine two or three times to release remaining fuel pressure.
7. After fuel system repairs are completed, reconnect fuel pump electrical connector.
