Power Steering Pressure Switch: Testing and Inspection

INSPECTION








Using Scan tool

Check Item: Power Steering Oil Pressure Switch
Data Display: Switch state.
Check Conditions: Engine idling.
- Steering wheel neutral position (wheels straight ahead) should read OFF.
- Steering wheel half turn should read ON.

Harness Inspection Procedure





1. Measure the power supply voltage.
- Connector disconnected.
- Ignition Switch ON.
- Voltage should read system voltage.

If OK - END.
If not OK - Repair the harness (H 1 C5O - 62)
