Intake Manifold: Testing and Inspection

1. Discard gasket and clean gasket surfaces of manifold.
2. Test the manifold gasket surfaces for flatness with a straight edge. The surface must be flat within 0.15 mm per 300 mm of manifold length.
3. Inspect the manifold for cracks or distortion. Replace manifold if necessary.
4. Check for damage or cracking of any part.
5. Check for obstruction of the negative pressure (vacuum) outlet port, and for obstruction of the water passage or gas passage.
