ANTENNA TIGHTENING TORQUE

PURPOSE

Poor radio reception can result if the antenna is not installed properly. This bulletin contains tightening torque specifications for radio antennas on affected vehicles.

AFFECTED VEHICLES

All Eclipse, Eclipse Spyder, and Galant models

PROCEDURE





When installing an antenna, be sure to tighten the mounting nut and mast to the specified torque.

Specification:

Mast 4.0-5.9 Nm (2.9-4.2 ft/lbs) (35-52 in/lbs)
Mounting Nut 2.5-3.0 Nm (1.8-2.2 ft/lbs) (22-26 in/lbs)
