Fuel System Pressure Relief

1. Remove carpet from cargo compartment, then remove bolts from floor cover.
2. Disconnect fuel pump electrical connection.
3. Start engine and let idle until all residual fuel is consumed, then turn ignition switch to Off position. Failure to relieve fuel system pressure prior to disconnecting fuel system components may cause fire or personal injury.
4. Disconnect battery ground cable.
5. Connect fuel pump electrical connection.
6. Install cargo compartment floor cover and bolts then install carpet. Torque bolts to 9 ft. lbs.
7. After repairs have been completed, connect battery cable and ensure fuel pump operates properly.
