The automatic transaxle fluid should be changed every 30,000 miles on these units. When refilling transaxle, add only Mopar ATF Plus (Type 7176), or equivalent.
1. Raise and support front of vehicle, then position drain pan under transaxle.
2. Loosen the transaxle oil pan bolts and tap pan at one corner to break it loose allowing fluid to drain.
3. Install a new filter and O-ring on bottom of valve body and clean oil pan and magnet.
4. Install oil pan and torque mounting bolts to 14 ft. lbs.
5. Add 4.0 qts. of transaxle fluid through filler tube.
6. Start engine and check fluid level as outlined under "Fluid Check".
