Removal and Installation Steps







NOTE: Generator/Alternator removal and installation is from below.

REMOVAL
1. Remove drive belt.
2. Remove generator.
3. Remove generator brace.
4. Remove bracket.
INSTALLATION
1. Install bracket.
2. Install generator brace.
3. Install generator.
4. Install drive belt.
5. Loosen the generator pivot nut.
6. Loosen the lock nut.
7. Turn the adjusting screw to adjust the belt tension to the standard value. The standard value:
Used belt 400 - 490 N (90 - 110 lbs.).
New belt 490 - 712 N (110 - 160 lbs.).






NOTE: When installing a new belt, apply 310 N (70 lbs.) of tension for 5 minutes or more, and then apply the final tension.

8. Tighten the generator pivot nut to 54 Nm (39 ft. lbs.).
9. Tighten the lock nut to 61 Nm (44 ft. lbs.).
