Main Bearing Cap Torque






TIGHTENING SPECIFICATIONS

CAUTION: Use only Loctite 19614, or equivalent, anaerobic sealer on the bedplate to cylinder block mating surface, or damage may occur to the engine.

1. Before installing the bolts, the threads should be oiled with engine oil.
2. Install main bearing bedplate to engine block bolts (1 thru 10) finger tight, then torque main bearing bolts to 75 Nm (55 ft. lbs.) in the sequence shown.
3. Install main bearing bedplate to engine block bolts (A thru K) finger tight, then torque each bolt to 28 Nm (20 ft. lbs.) in the sequence shown.

Bearing Diameter Clearance: 0.022 - 0.062 mm (0.0008 - 0.0024 inch)
Journal Diameter: 51.9924 - 52.0076 Nm (2.0469 - 2.0475 inch)
Journal Out-Of-Round: 0.0035 mm (0.0001 inch)
Journal Taper: 0.0038 mm (0.0001 inch)
