Ignition Lock: Testing and Inspection

KEY INTERLOCK MECHANISM CHECK





1. Carry out the following inspection.





2. When a problem is found in the inspections above, adjust the key interlock cable.
1. Remove the floor console.
2. Shift selector lever to "R"
3. Turn the ignition key to "LOCK."
4. Loosen the jam nut of the key interlock cable.
5. Push the cable joint on the lock cam gently toward the arrow, and tighten the jam nut to the specified torque.
Tightening torque: 12 Nm (106 inch lbs.)
6. Install the floor console.
