When diagnosing an engine pinging condition, always check for engine carbon deposits, which may have occurred due to fuel grade or quality and/or the customer's driving style. If necessary, clean carbon deposits from the pistons and combustion chamber. Recommend to customers to always use the correct grade of fuel for their model vehicle.
