ENGINE OIL SPECIFICATIONS

PURPOSE

To improve fuel economy, reduce emissions, and comply with EPA guidance, GF-3 engine oil with 5W-20 viscosity is used in all affected vehicles for factory fill. This oil should also be used during vehicle servicing.

MMNA strongly recommends that Mitsubishi retailers and customers use the following engine oil for affected vehicles:

Exxon Mobil GF-3 5W-20
Petro Canada GF-3 5W-20 or equivalent
British Petroleum 5W-30-FM (for Diamante models only)

AFFECTED VEHICLES

All 2004 models except Montero and Lancer Evolution

NOTE:
Lancer Evolution requires fully synthetic engine oil with the ILSAC certification symbol or conforming to API classification SL EC, SL/CF EC.
