SERVICE TIP:

Using a non-resistor spark plug as a replacement can cause the audio system controls to lock up, or an inoperative condition of the audio system at idle. The controls and the system may operate correctly at driving speeds. Certain frequencies created by the non-resistor spark plug can interfere with the M-bus signal between the audio head unit and the multi-center display. Installing the required resistor-type spark plug will usually return the audio system to proper operation.
