OCCUPANT RESTRAINT CONTROLLER MODULE - SERVICE CAMPAIGN

PURPOSE

Due to software programming the side airbag inflatable curtain on affected vehicles may not deploy during an Insurance Institute of Highway Safety side impact test. Dealers are instructed to replace the Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC) module with a module containing improved software as described in this bulletin.

AFFECTED VEHICLES

2006 Raider XLS models equipped with side airbag inflatable curtain

CUSTOMER NOTIFICATION





A letter will be sent to all owners of affected vehicles requesting them to bring their vehicle to their Mitsubishi Motors dealer to have the ORC module replaced. A copy of the customer notification letter appears at the end of this bulletin.
