ALTERNATOR B+ TERMINAL REPLACEMENT

PURPOSE

Do not replace the alternator because of a damaged B+ terminal resulting from a loose nut. Alternator B+ terminal replacement parts are now available (listed in the PARTS INFORMATION section below).

AFFECTED VEHICLES
2004-on Galant and Endeavor
2006-on Eclipse
2007-on Eclipse Spyder

PROCEDURE

1. Visually inspect the alternator B+ terminal. If it is damaged, replace it as described below. Do not replace the alternator for this condition.

2. Remove the black cap covering the 10 mm attaching nut. Loosen the nut and remove the B+ terminal from the alternator.

3. Install the new B+ terminal provided in the alternator terminal kit listed below. Tighten the 10 mm nut and reinstall the black cap
