INITIALIZATION PROCEDURE FOR LEARNING VALUE IN MFI ENGINE
When the following service is performed, initialize the learning value.
^ Engine assembly replacement
^ Injector replacement and cleaning
^ Throttle body replacement and at cleaning
^ Knock sensor replacement

INITIALIZATION PROCEDURE

Required Special Tools:
^ MB991958: Scan Tool (M.U.T.-III Sub Assembly)
^ MB991824: V.C.I.
^ MB991827: M.U.T.-III USB Cable
^ MB991910: M.U.T.-III Main Harness A





CAUTION: To prevent damage to scan tool MB991958, always turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position before connecting or disconnecting scan tool MB991958.

1. Connect scan tool MB991958 to the data link connector.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position.
3. Select "MFI system".
4. Select "Special Function" form the menu screen.
5. Select "Learned value reset".
6. Select the Item on the screen of the initialization for learning, and perform the initialization.





NOTE: *1: Initialize A/T-related learning value.

NOTE: *2: After initializing the learning value, the idling learning in MFI engine is required.

NOTE: *3: The datum items on M.U.T.-III display are shown, but do not use them.
