REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

CAUTION:
- Do not disassemble or throw the liftgate gas spring into fire.
- Punch a hole in the gas spring before disposal to release the gas inside.
- Ensure the liftgate gas spring piston rod does not come into contact with foreign material.




REMOVAL SERVICE POINT

[[A]] GLASS HATCH GAS SPRING REMOVAL
As shown in the Figure, slide the pin upward, then remove the glass hatch gas spring in the direction of the arrow to unscrew the glass hatch gas spring bracket.

INSTALLATION SERVICE POINT




]]A[[ GLASS HATCH OPENING WEATHERSTRIP INSTALLATION
Assemble so the glass hatch opening weatherstrip marking is at the center of the liftgate.




]]B[[ GLASS HATCH STRIKER INSTALLATION
Assemble so the distance between the center of the glass hatch striker and center of the glass hatch latch is ± 1.0mm (0.04 inch) or less.
