CODING CAUTION STATEMENT FOR TC-SST REPLACEMENT - SERVICE MANUAL REVISION
PURPOSE
A caution statement is added to the applicable Service Manual advising the need to conduct variant coding and VIN writing when replacing the TC-SST. This TSB advises the corrected information.
NOTE:
Prior to removing the transaxle, decide whether Copy Coding or Download Coding is the best Variant Coding method for your situation. If you use Copy Coding, save the vehicle's variant codes to the MUT-III BEFORE removing the transaxle.
You cannot perform Copy Coding if transmission DTCs are active. Additional information on coding can be found in the MUT-III Owner's Manual. Use the link on the Service Tech Resources page of the MDL.
