Installation

FRONT AXLE - C205F

INSTALLATION





1. Raise the axle into position.
2. Loosely install the bolts and nuts to hold the axle (2) pinion nose bracket (1).





3. Loosely install bolts (1) from axle differential housing (2).





4. Loosely install bolts (1) from the axle tube (2).
5. Tighten all bolts to 115 Nm (85 ft. lbs.).
6. Install the axle vent tube.
7. Align the reference marks on the propeller shaft, transfer case, and pinion companion flange.
8. Install propeller shaft.





9. Install half shafts.
10. Install hub/bearing (1) wheel speed sensor (2) and dust shield (5) on knuckles (4).
11. Install skid plate support crossmember, if necessary.
12. Install skid plate, if necessary.
13. Check differential lubricant level and add lubricant, if necessary.
