REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

WARNING:

- Before removing the steering wheel, air bag module assembly and clock spring refer to Service Precautions ( Service Precautions) and Air Bag Module and Clock Spring.
- When removing and installing the steering wheel, do not let it bump against the air bag module.

CAUTION:
If the steering lock cylinder is replaced by the handle lock service key set at the same time with ignition key, register the ignition key. (Refer to Encrypted Code Registration Criteria Table.)









REMOVAL SERVICE POINTS

[[A]] STEERING COLUMN UPPER COVER/STEERING COLUMN LOWER COVER REMOVAL





1. Rotate the steering wheel with a slightly from side-to-side to access and remove the mounting screws.

[[B]] STEERING LOCK CYLINDER REMOVAL





1. Insert the key in the steering lock cylinder and turn it to the "ACC" position.
2. Using a small Phillips head screwdriver, pull the steering lock cylinder toward you.
