Cylinder Head Bolt Re-usability





Check that the nominal length of each cylinder head bolt meets the limit. If it exceeds the limit, replace the bolts with a new one.
Limit (A): 99.4 mm (3.91 inches)


Cylinder Head Bolts




First step tighten 78 ± 2 Nm (58 ± 1 ft-lb)
Second step Loosen the bolts fully in the reverse sequence
Third step tighten 20 ± 2 Nm (15 ± 1 ft-lb)
Fourth step Tighten 90°
Fifth step Tighten 90°

Cylinder Head Inspection





Standard value 0.03 mm (0.001 inch)
Limit 0.2 mm (0.007 inch)
Grinding limit *0.2 mm (0.007 inch)
If it exceeds the limit, correct to meet specification
* Includes combined with cylinder block grinding
Cylinder head height 120 mm (4.7 inches)
