Speedometer Module: Description and Operation

With the ignition switch in the ON or START position, power is supplied
^ through 1O A fuse [No. (7), located in the fuse block (J/B)]
^ to combination meter terminal (15)
Ground is supplied
^ to combination meter terminals (23) and (35)
^ through body grounds (M4) and (M27).

The vehicle speed sensor provides a voltage signal to the combination meter for the speedometer.
The voltage is supplied
^ to combination meter terminals (8) and (12) for the speedometer
^ from terminals (1) and (2) of the vehicle speed sensor.
The speedometer converts the voltage into the vehicle speed displayed.
