Compressor HVAC: Testing and Inspection

SYMPTOM: Magnet clutch does not engage when A/C switch and fan switch are ON.
Magnet clutch does not engage in DEF mode.

DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE
SYMPTOM: Magnet clutch does not engage when A/C switch and fan switch are ON.

ELECTRICAL COMPONENT INSPECTION







Thermo control amp.
1. Run engine, and operate A/C system.
2. Connect the voltmeter from harness side.
3. Check thermo control amp. operation shown in the table.

Triple-Pressure Switch




Air Conditioner Relay
Check circuit continuity between terminals by supplying 12 volts to coil side terminals of air conditioner relay.
