Variable Valve Timing Actuator Position Sensor: Testing and Inspection
INTAKE VALVE TIMING CONTROL POSITION SENSOR 1.
Disconnect intake valve timing control position sensor harness connector.
2.
Loosen fixing bolt of the sensor.
3.
Visually check the sensor for chipping.
4.
Check resistance between terminals 2 and 3.
Resistance:
600 - 740 Ohms [at 20 °C (68 °F)] If NG, replace intake valve timing control position sensor.
