Timing Chain Tensioner

Crankshaft Pulley
Crankshaft pulley bolt initial tightening 37.3 - 47.1 Nm (3.8 - 4.8 kg-m, 28 - 34 ft. lbs.)





Apply a paint mark on the front cover, mating with any one of six easy to recognize stamp marks on bolt flange.
Turn crankshaft pulley bolt another 60° to 66° [Target: 60°].

Timing Cover
Loosely install the front timing chain case bolts.





Bolt position Bolt diameter
1, 2 8 mm (0.31 inch)
3 - 22 6 mm (0.24 inch)
Tighten the front timing chain case bolts in the order
Retighten the front timing chain case bolts in shown.
Bolt position Tightening specification
1, 2 28.5 Nm (2.9 kg-m, 21 ft. lbs.)
3 - 22 12.8 Nm (1.3 kg-m, 9 ft. lbs.)
