Removal and Installation

REMOVAL

NOTE: If possible, before removing BCM, retrieve current BCM configuration to use for reference when configuring brand-new BCM after installation. Refer to "Configuration".

1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Remove lower instrument panel LH.
3. Remove knee protector brace.
4. Remove screws and release BCM.




5. Disconnect connectors and then remove BCM.

INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

NOTE:
- When replacing BCM, perform configuration. Refer to BCS-20, "Configuration". Programming and Relearning
- When replacing BCM, perform initialization of NATS system and registration of all NATS ignition key IDs. Refer to BL-123, "NVIS (NISSAN Vehicle Immobilizer System-NATS)". Antitheft and Alarm Systems
- When replacing BCM, perform ID registration procedure of low tire pressure warning system. Refer to WT-13, "ID Registration Procedure". Tire Pressure Sensor Reset Procedure
- When replacing BCM, register the remote keyless entry system keyfob ID codes. Refer to "ID Code Entry Procedure".
- When replacing BCM, preform adjustment procedure for the steering angle sensor. Refer to BRC-148, "Adjustment of Steering Angle Sensor Neutral Position". Testing and Inspection
