Starter Motor: Service and Repair
EXC. 1983---84 PHOENIX
1.
Disconnect battery ground cable.
2.
Raise and support vehicle.
3.
Remove the starter to engine brace, if equipped.
4.
Remove starter mounting bolts and lower starter. Note position of shims, if used.
5.
Disconnect solenoid wires and the
battery cable.
6.
Remove starter from vehicle.
7.
Reverse procedure to install.
