Reaction Internal Gear

Inspection & installation

1. Inspect reaction internal gear splines, teeth and bearing surface for wear, cracks or damage.

2. Inspect parking pawl lugs for cracks or damage.





3. Install reaction internal gear, with hub end first onto output shaft, see image.

4. Thoroughly clean, air dry and inspect the reaction internal gear to reaction sun gear thrust bearing assembly for pitted or rough conditions.





5. Install reaction internal gear to reaction sun gear thrust bearing assembly by placing small diameter race over the output shaft, see image.
