Main bearings are available in standard sizes and undersizes of .0005, .001, .0015, .002, .010 and .020 inch. Rod bearings are available in standard sizes and undersizes of .001, .002, .005, .010, .012 and .020 inch. Main bearing clearances not within specifications must be corrected by the use of selective upper and lower shells. Fig. 17 illustrate the undersize identification marking on the bearing tang.
