Front Carrier






1. Check front carrier, pin ions and bearings for damage. Replace damaged components.

2. Check front carrier pinion endplay. Pinion endplay should be 0.009-0.024 inch (0.24-0.60 mm).

3. Using a suitable solvent, thoroughly clean, blow dry and check front internal gear thrust bearing assembly for damage. Replace damaged components.

4. Install and lubricate front internal gear thrust bearing assembly into front carrier.

5. Install front carrier and thrust bearing assembly into transmission case.
