Crankshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair

Typical DIS Crankshaft Sensor:

REMOVAL
^ Disconnect Sensor harness connector.
^ Remove sensor to block bolt.
^ Remove sensor from engine.
^ Remove sensor O-ring.
^ Discard O-ring.

INSTALLATION
^ Install new O-ring on sensor, lube new O-Ring with engine oil before installing.
^ Install sensor into hole in block.
^ Install sensor to block bolt.
^ Torque to 8 Nm (71 lb in).
^ Reconnect sensor harness connector.
