Heater Core

2.5L 4cyl (LR8):

3.8L V6 (LN3):

Removal or Disconnect

1. Drain the cooling system.
2. Coolant hoses at the heater core. On diesel engine vehicles you may need to hoist the car in order to gain access to the heater hose connections.
3. Instrument panel lower sound absorber.
4. The heater duct and the heater case side cover. (covers the heater core inlet and outlet tubes)
5. Heater lower outlet.
6. Two (2) housing cover to air valve housing clips.
7. Housing cover.
8. Core retaining straps.
9. Core tubing retainers and remove the core.

Install or Connect

1. Core and core tubing retainers.
2. Core retaining straps.
3. Housing cover.
4. Two (2) housing cover to air valve housing clips.
5. Heater lower outlet.
6. Heater duct and heater case side cover.
7. Instrument panel lower sound absorber.
8. Coolant hoses to heater core.
9. Fill cooling system and check for leaks.
