1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Carefully discharge refrigerant from A/C system.
Loosen, then remove serpentine drive belt from pulleys, if this is the first time compressor is removed, remove oil filter, remove 7 mm socket from rear of compressor (if nessary) and discard.
3. Raise and support vehicle.
4. Remove compressor bracket attaching bolts, then the lower support bracket. Remove seven splash shield attaching bolts, then the splash shield.

5. Remove manifold to compressor bracket attaching bolts.
6. Mark, then disconnect all electrical connectors from compressor assembly.
7. Remove compressor mount attaching bolts, then the compressor assembly from bottom of vehicle.
8. Reverse procedure to install.
