Evaporator Core: Service and Repair



1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then discharge A/C system.
2. Drain cooling system, then raise and support vehicle.
3. Remove heater hoses at the heater core, then remove the drain tube.
4. Remove block fitting at the evaporator and discard O-ring seals, then lower vehicle.
5. Remove sound insulators, then the floor air outlet duct and hoses from duct.
6. Remove console assembly, if equipped, then heater core covers.
7. Remove heater core, then evaporator core covers and evaporator core.
8. Reverse procedure to install. Install new O-rings at block fitting and evacuate and recharge system.
