Air Temperature Sensor ( Ambient / Intake ): Service and Repair

Intake Air Temperature Sensor:

NOTE: The Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor is installed in the top of the intake manifold between runners 3 and 4. Care must be taken when handling a IAT sensor to avoid damage.


REMOVAL

1. Turn ignition to "OFF".
2. Disconnect electrical connector.
3. Carefully back out IAT sensor.

INSTALLATION

1. Coat threads (only) with sealer.
2. Install sensor in intake manifold, torque to 8 N-m (6 lb.ft.).
3. Connect electrical connector.
