Rocker Arm Assembly: Service and Repair

Fig. 7 Rocker Arm Installation:

1. Remove valve cover.
2. Remove rocker arm pedestal retaining bolts.
3. On all models, remove pedestal and rocker arm assembly, Fig. 7. Keep rocker arms and pedestals together and note installation position. Components that are to be reused should be installed in original position.
4. Reverse procedure to install, torquing pedestal retaining bolts to 28 ft. lbs. Clean bolt threads and apply thread locking compound 112345493 to bolt threads prior to installation.
