Heater Hose: Service and Repair

HEATER HOSES AND PIPES
Check all heater hose routing for installation to avoid contact with any obstruction that could result in a damaged hose. Some hoses are equipped with conduit in areas where rubbing may occur. Always reinstall conduit in the same location when replacing a hose.

Important
It is recommended that anytime a "spring" type clamp is removed or repositioned, the clamp be either replaced with a "screw" type clamp or replace the section of hose being serviced. Failure to do so may result in a coolant leak due to lack of sealing.
