EGR Control Solenoid: Service and Repair


REMOVAL

1. Remove the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the air cleaner assembly, if necessary.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector at the solenoid.
4. Disconnect the vacuum hose connections.
5. Remove the bolts and solenoid.
6. Remove the filter, if required.

INSTALLATION

1. Install filter, if required.
2. Install the solenoid. Tighten bolts to 24 N-m (17 lb. ft.).
3. Connect the vacuum hoses.
4. Connect the electrical connector.
5. Install the air cleaner assembly, if removed.
6. Connect the negative battery cable.
7. Check system to ensure proper operation.
